Wow, that is what I call lucky !!
Thanks for sharing the photos with us.
Finally - Thank you Jorg - asante sana!
I know lion rock in Taita Hills very well - actually I now that whole area extremely well and have never had the luck of coming across one.
Oria Nico,
I have seen Black Leopard in Mara a few times when our Masai-Guide spotted one of it lying on a tree branch. Mainly it happened on top the Olololo-Escarpment were we went daily to prepare picnic-lunch for our clients. Always from quite a distance I could watch Blacky through my binoculars before it disappeared. Very shy animals. From the edge of the escarpment toward Lolgorien there is a huge thick forest were these species are common according to the Masai. Once I have seen a Black Leopard from far away while on walking safari around Buffalo Camp. I was told by our Masai Guides that sometimes Black Leopards move into Mara coming from the Mau rainforests.
Of course I could photograph it just with my eyes only.
Congratulation to Jörg for his luck to get pictures of the black Serval

Next time you decide to go walk about; give me a call as I would love to see a black leopard. Out of all the animals - this one has yet to be spotted.
Next time perhaps.
Asante -
