UGANDA'S NATIONAL PARKS SAFE FOR TOURISTS
Uganda Wildlife Authority would like to assure the public that despite the reported civil clashes in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the influx of refugees into Kisoro, our national parks are safe, and tourism activities are going on normally.
Uganda Wildlife Authority is working very closely with the security agencies, which have been closely monitoring the situation ever since fighting broke out in the Congo.
Several security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of the tourists visiting our national parks and all the other tourist areas.
The whole border stretch between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo is being monitored on water, land and air.
The refugee crisis is also being handled by the appropriate government agencies.
