As a follow up to Jans thread ....
Would you be interested in a meeting in Kenya next year even if only for a couple of days before we went our seperate ways?
If so are you able to put forward ideas for the itinerary?

I am interested and we will be going only need to wait to see what the holiday dates are of my kids for 2010 - will let you know ASAP
of course i am interested!
the problem i see is the time of the year each individual loves to visit kenya for particular reasons........
so i would love to visit mid oct at the latest to see again the migration/MM.
we should all watch the air faires which might lead to an additional kenya trip in order to exploit cheap fares during off season but which nonetheless offers great wildlife in other parts of kenya - besides the MM
i am prepared to watch air faires.........
Pippa who do you use for cheaper fares to fly to Kenya?
I have been using Alitalia as I use them for airmiles etc for personal and company travels. However after being completely messed around this month flying to the USA - (I was supposed to fly Rome to San Francisco direct in one day) - it took me 3 days via NY, then Atlanta and then to SF.... only because Delta came to the rescue.....
Alitalia managed to mess up going and on my return - delays (only 24 hours...) and all due to the crew going on strike. At least I know JFK very well now
I will think 4 times before using Alitalia and their complete set up unprofessional crews members (most of them) - therefore I am looking for a new carrier....
hello nico,
sorry for being late in answering your question...........
- My most favorite airline lufthansa doesn't fly to nairobi but code shares with swiss means miles + more miles
- emirates is good but has long lay overs in dubai and has become expensive: sep/oct almost 1000€!
- swiss flies via zurich and charges roughly 650 €
- KLM roughly 700€ via amsterdam to nairobi - KLM has obviously problems in AMS to get the pax together with their luggage on to the same aircraft
so no direct flights from us.
in the past we flew emirates to nairobi as we are only interested in wildlife and therefore avoid mombasa as post of call - CONDOR and LUT fly direct to the coast.
we most probably fly swiss next time.........
happy landings!
