The dry parts of Kenya are finally getting rain! I read that the Wundanyi area got torrential rains washing away some homes. Then this morning I heard from the Satao Camp manager.

He states "I am on my way back to camp tomorrow. Paul just rang from camp and told me that the (Voi) River went over the Banks and has flooded the Camp. He had to remove the guests from the Tent 17 down to 11 all to the other side. It is just because the walkways are about 20 cm under water, so you simply cant get there. They have to buy some rubber dinghies and send them up.

Also down in Voi they had to evacuate people from their homes. Lets hope it dries up a bit until tomorrow. But to make sure I gone buy some rubber boots today. Will inform you on Saturday about latest development".

I also read that Amboseli got two good days of rain.

Thus everything will start greening up very quickly providing plenty of food for all the wildlife.

It takes nature millions of years to evolve a new species. It takes only minutes to eradicate one from the wild forever.
