Jan and Pippa, all i can say is that we are on this earth to enjoy it as much as the next. An elephant doesn't have more right than I to share a given area with respect. Robbing anyone of the chance to experience being as "close" to nature as possible by dis-allowing game walks is selfish. Nothing I know of makes me feel so "small" and humble in this world as walking in the wild bush surrounded by wild animals. I suppose the same feeling is felt by most that do such walks whether guided or unguided. Kelvin obviously felt the same from his gesture.

I know what you are saying that an animal that has killed a human will probably be destroyed in return. That is truly unfortunate and luckily it doesn't happen very often.

gosh guys, let's put it that way: i am simply not brave enough - anymore.................and i am quicker to satisfy

and as far as the mother and doughter are concerned: i could bet the husband was fond of the walk and therefore mom and girlie followed if that was the case i would be first of all not able to live through another day without blaming myself for what happend and secondly go back to do as many walks as i can in order to find out whether it was pure bad luck...........anyway, i cannot imagine waht that guy is going through; must be hell!

i understand what bwanamich, kipper and the other guys mean. but i don't adore them for their feelings of being part of nature. maybe i am a fraidy-cat but i can live with that
