I was watching the Africam from Sabi Sands last night at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/africam---elephant-plains and heard a lot of lions roaring. However, I've checked this site off and on for about a week and there are long periods of time with no animals at all at the waterhole.

I had suggested an "Africam" type device be set up at Satao about a year ago and it hadn't been done.
Thus I shot off a note last night to the camp owners with the above link suggesting again that they have one installed. I got an email this morning that they are in the process of finalizing tihis now, so hopefully in several months it will be available.

During the dry season it is usually fulll with up to 1,000 elephants a day, hippos, sometimes large herds of buffalo up to 250, impala, kongoni, giraffe, lions and many other species.

Will keep everyone posted when it goes online.

It takes nature millions of years to evolve a new species. It takes only minutes to eradicate one from the wild forever.

I call in at Wild Earth, also Sabi Sands, & I know a lot of people have booked at the lodge from watching the cams so it could be a good investment for them!

I'm just a drop in the ocean....But a million drops could make a wave!
