I assume you are speaking of the Riverside camp close to Talek gate................
Never heard of that venue but started evaluating when you raised the question
Outcome of my "brain storm":
- The position seems ideal for visiting the conservancies as werll as the reserve
- Safety and security shouldn't be a problem as that's a massai project; high ranking within its hierarchy
- Rates are very affordable compared to e.g.FB at Ilkeliani which is in the vicinity; even if you hire the vehicle/guide it's still favourable
If you don't need the lux of a tented camp and go for the wildlife - it's an option well worth to consider.

Your point #2 is becoming more of a an issue and one I had not considered in the past.
What do you think about the Talek area in general? Are the negative comments that I read from a variety of sources too harsh? Maybe I should just stay put in the Mara Triangle for my approx week stay and forget about splitting my time.
