WE NEED A KENYA COLOBUS SANCTUARY IN BRITAIN
CELEBRATING THE LEGACY OF FAMOUS UK SCIENTIST
CHARLES DARWIN WHO WROTE "ORIGIN OF SPECIES"
Taken from www.Coastweek.com
-- I was born in Mombasa many moons ago and have been in UK since past forty six years and was pleased to read about your work online through the good medium of Coastweek news paper. www.colobustrust.org
England is a nation of animal lovers and I was wondering is we can partner so that we can set up a sanctuary for Colobus Monkeys in UK .
There are several Safari Parks in UK including one at Longleat where many animals from around the world including Africa are kept for public viewing as well as one assumes for their long term survival.
I was thinking a specialist sanctuary in the west country where children can learn all about Monkeys and their habitats and their close proximity to us human beings as the UK is celebrating the legacy of the famous UK scientist Charles Darwin who wrote "Origin of Species" which proves that we are all descendents from Monkeyji and our DNA is ninety eight percent akin to Monkeys.
So if we had a Colubus Monkey Sanctuary, we can have a two way collaboration in educating young folks, future citizens, and raise awareness amongst fellow citizens.
Also fund raise to help monkeys in their natural habitats by fund raising and sharing with you some of the funds raised for the upkeep and education and outreach programmes and send and exchange scheme with you where experts and volunteers can come to U.K. and vice versa come to Kenya.
I am a supporter of Animal and Vegetarian organisations such as PETA, VIVA, Young Indian Vegetarians, BUAV and HSUS and it would be a good thing to link up with a country of ones birth and help do something humane as well as spiritual as Hindus believe in HRHH Monkey God Hunmanji, who not only rescued Goddess Radha from the clutches of Demon King Ravana but also lifted Mount Meru from India and planted it in Kenya.

I saw this on the Caostweek news paper - what are your thoughts on this?
Positive for re hab? Negative to take animals in a new area - will the conditions be similar to a "zoo"...??
