Hi Folks!
Heres the habitat I found the species Heterothele gabonensis. This species of tarantula was unknown before my researsh. The spider was identified in 1858 by LUCAS, and since then, nobady has been to Gabon to study it, which mean there was no information, no description, no picture ... Nothing, a ghost spider we only knew the name of.
I had the chance many colony (sometimes up to 20 individu) living on the same trees, in the kind of forest we can see on the video. At first I show the type of forest - dry and open. After, I show the Uapaca tree\'s, which is the kind of trees they definitively prefer, not surprising as it offer some very interesting hide. At the end I show the spider, which does\'nt give much credit to it, that is why I am going to attach a picture at the end of this post to show the real beauty of the spider
