The dumb-dumb who writes the newspaper article muses: "it is unclear why the bear, which was wearing ice skates at the time, attacked Mr. Potapov".

Thanks for the link. It is a very informative article, though perhaps not stressing enough the cruelty that these animals are put through.

It takes nature millions of years to evolve a new species. It takes only minutes to eradicate one from the wild forever.

That should be abolished soonest!
Not only that I doubt they "train" the elephants. They are mostly wild catch means getting babies from wild herds and train/brain wash them. Mostly that "co-operation is done by using force and food restrictions.

AND - if there is a demand - there will be an offer and vv.

I always ask people to NOT visit this kind of operations. Not with elephants and certainly not with big cats.

Isn't it enough that we invade their habitat and settle in their former homeland leading to shrinking habitat? Must we also deploy elephants for our pleasure?

Makes me SICK!

Agree with you Pippa, and I'm glad you are informing your clients not to be tempted to take advantage of this awful industry.
