From Amboseli yesterday: it is raining heavily, of which we are very happy because we were desperate of rains. The park started looking beautiful and green, the lake behind Amboseli Lodge is with a lot water and flamingos started getting in, very beautiful. This is the time you need to come and see all this without dust! Elephants are not many in the park, there are out like in Elerai, Northern side, Kimana side, but those in Kimana are now too much with crop raiding. Echo is very clever never go out, she's in Palms trees near our camp.
From Tsavo East this morning: Since one week we had thunderstorms every evening all around and every where. The River (Voi) is up and running since 6 days. Last evening they had a big storm down in Aruba and I am sure that in the afternoon the (Voi) River will be higher. Animals, you are right, have all left except the waterbucks-Impalas and the big nose (Hornbill).
With rain all around everywhere the grass will be greening up in a few days giving a great food and water supply for all the wildlife.
