jan, i agree fully!
instead of "park hopping" i always advise my clients to spend at least 4 nights in one place.
last august we got the luxury of staying 12 days in the massai mara in one camp which was haven 
! and we had hired our own vehicle from camp which offered the opportunity to do whatever we wanted.......
we would love to do that again but i have to know some places in tsavo which makes me travel in august to kenya but i won't have time to spend a week there - it's simply too costly besides the fact that camps are also heavily booked in tsavo.
but i am trying to get me a tent at one of the masai mara camps for 1 week - want to see the migration again - ..........but you won't believe it: the camps are full! almost no 4 consecutive nts in one camp and for a holiday i hate to change camps in between!
i have to keep my fingers crossed that i get 1 week in camp in august in the mara!
