Tandoori Chicken - Simbas version

Tandoori Chicken - Simbas version

This is not the original Tandoori Chicken, but I like it much more because of the gravy.

Ingredients:
1 kg Chicken pieces
2 potatoes
2 tomatoes
2 small onions
1 green pepper
1 kg yoghurt

Spices:
6 Table Spoons vinnegar
5 cm piece fresh ginger
5 big gloves of garlic
1 nutmeg ground
3 Table spoons curry powder
2 Table spoons coriander
2 Table spoons cumin
1 Table spoon kurkuma
1 Table spoon cardamon
1 Teaspoon Chilli
fresh chilli according to your taste
red food colouring if desired.

Preparation:
Mix all spices with the yoghurt.
Make deep cuts into the chicken every 3 cm for the spices to penetrate deep inside the flesh. Pour the vinnegar over the chicken, making sure it reaches every part.
Add chicken into yoghurt-mix, stir and make sure, the gravy enters the cuts.
Leave to marinade over night in fridge.
Cut the fresh vegetables into big cubes, add to the rest, mix gently and place everything in deep dish for the oven.

Bake for 45-60 mins at 180 ° C until most liquid is gone and you are left with a thick sauce.

Serve with Basmati rice that you added some lemon juice, butter, salt and 3 Cardamon seeds during boiling.

Remark: the spices might seem much, but the 1 kg yoghurt compensates a lot!

Try it and let me know what you think of it !!!
