INTERNATIONAL "COAST CLEANUP" - KENYA 2006

THE GUEST OF HONOUR IS THE Permanent Secretary PROFESSOR GEORGE OKEYO KHRODA

Coastweek - - Bamburi Cement Limited., Baobab Trust and Nairobi Keen Kleeners are jointly hosting this year's International Coastal Clean up event to be held at the Jomo Kenyatta Public Beach Mombasa on Saturday 16th September 2006 from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Guest of Honour is the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Prof. George Okeyo Khroda.

Lafarge Eco Systems Tourism Manager Pauleen Kinoti noted:

"This event has been held in Kenya for the last 12 years, with this being the 13th anniversary of our tireless endeavour to rid the beach frontage of debris.

"We look forward to your members of the public joining in and supporting our entire enthusiastic volunteer teams and companies, during this important global environmental activity.

"It will unite citizens around the world to help reduce pollution in their communities and enhance marine conservation."
