Hi Nico,

the next species in the menu is the famous Stromatopelma satanas, a species everybody talk about but nobody seen as no picture has been done ... ever ''she is calling me !''

The trip will be 6 week to 7 weeks again, and the area will change of course, this time I explore the south of the country, with my bicycle and my camping stuff, which will help me a lot in making a better distribution of the species, I wont be stuck at a same area. I'll also enter in the National Parc Mouklaba-doudou ... if only they could answer my MANY request

Well - when you come across your big long legged hairy friend - good old Stromatopelma satanas - send us a picture....
Sounds like fun with lots of adventures in the near future.
How big is Mrs Satanas? How do you know where to look?

studies have been bone in the other species of this genus. They are all known to be arboreal and hide in coconut trees, so this is where i'll start my research. After, i'll be focussing in the high tropical trees which been unexplored for the tarantula studies ... Are they only hiding in coconut trees ? I don't think so ... but if they do, why ? I got many question in head ...

The Stromatopelma satanas should be around 6 inch long with leg.
