And yet!......We continue to wear, leather shoes, leather belts leather whatever are these some times not decorative items? High heel shoes?
But then hides are a by product of the meat industry!

Vegetarianism is some thing I do not understand!

Now! To be Vegan I can understand that & they stand by their beliefs fully, no animal products at all.
Well done to them!

To keep up milk production levels cows are calved on a regular basis this keeps up their production of milk. What happens to the Calves???

oops - i almost missed this thread....

as far as i can see these kind of "ambiance" is not what high-end tourism is looking for! despite the fact that these skins are a by-product of the meat industry/consumption.
up-market tourists don't like to walk over skins at all! they would consider it "old fashioned".
today tourists like to walk on wooded platforms or tiles......or sand
not to mention big cat's skin which is an absolute NO NO!

vegetarism: just for the sake of animal's lifes. has nothing to do with belief at all. we vegetarians just don't want an animal to be sloughtered for our consumption.

regarding the calves and your questionmarks:
don't eat buffalo mozzarella because the male calves are going to be drowned after birth because they don't can make use of it - for the cheese lover's sake!
