I know what you mean. I’ve just registered at the worst possible time. Not only because of Christmas, but I’ve just got a job substituting for a teacher with an “infection” until Christmas. I should have spent this day learning names and planning classes. The “infection” is probably pupil induced – some whom I met last week were really nasty - and if I could continue until summer I’d be able to go to Kenya. This would also be the best time for my business, but I don’t know where to find the time. Somehow I find the time to hang in front of the computer, but it has to stop.

as a teacher you must have really good nervs and the capability to leave it behind when you get into your private live. but i guess this is rather better said than done!

spending time in front of the screen might have also some fruitful moments!
just get it balanced very well!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have already adopted 17 of the Sheldrick orphans and help with their upkeep yearly. Unfortunately I am the only one in my family who cares about wildlife They understand my passion, but they don't share it. That is why I travel alone - but I love it, because I get to meet so many people that I wouldn't ordinarily meet were I with my husband or sons

It will be the usual dungarees and sweatshirts for school I presume. We don't have a huge celebration either now that the boys are older.

Just found out Friday that the hospital booked my husband for carotid artery surgery the day I land in Amboseli! He is going to try to get it changed to a later date after I return.

We'll miss you here when you're away. Hope you will have some interesting storys to tell when you get back - and of course, a trip report!
