Here\\\'s my tuppence worth.
The hunter should pass a strict competency test, accuracy under pressure that sort of thing, not just how much money he can afford. The animals should be stalked not just a shooting gallery & they should be quickly dispatched with out cruelty.
If hunters are paying to take part in a cull then every hunter must be totally competent & the usual \"Look at Macho Me\" photo\'s taken later.
As part of the scheme of things \\\"Proper\\\" hunting by humans is no different than lions or leopards hunting we have developed our strategy to the rifle, lions to the stalk, leopards to the ambush.
It will be many years before humans loose the desire to hunt, if ever, but as the intelligent?? species it should be carried out swiftly & mercifully.I have no interest in hunting to take a life, life at any level is precious, I accept that there are those who relish this \\\"Sport!\\\" but to sit in the middle of an unconcerned herd & to pop them off at leisure taking a number of hits to end that life is abhorrent!
As much as we\\\'d like, & it annoys me when the film makers do so, the animal kingdom does not live in a Beatrice Potter world.
I\\\'m not an educated person & debate does not come easy to me. Although the Indian tiger is in serious trouble it is the old hunting parks that have become the tiger reserves, if this had not been so than I suspect there would now be no tigers in the wild!
Hunting is there & is part of Africa let's keep it as humane & civilized as possible.
