Wonderful video, Kipper!!! I particularly like the young one with the bended tail!!!
Difficult to imagine that it\'s comfortable for them up on the trees... They look so clumsy, especially when they go down the trees (particularly if you compare it with a leopard). I\\\'ve been to Queen Elizabeth twice and I really loved the Ishasha sector. Rarely seen elsewhere in Africa the tree-climbing behaviour of Ishasha\'s lions can be observed throughout the year. A lion researcher I met in Ishasha told me that the custom of ascending trees seems to be culturally ingrained but might have been initiated to escape the attention of biting flies as you said. Anyway - what a wonderful experience to spot them hanging out in the trees!!!
