Kipper: I too have wondered about this. Is Kenya the only country in Africa going through a horrible drought this year? If not, why is it only Kenya that is getting the word out? I scan 10 - 15 foreign newspapers a day, and I haven't seen anything about any other African country in such bad shape.
How was the recent trip? Hope you had a fantastic time and all went well. Did you find Simba in your suitcase when you got there?

I guess because most of the online forums, people that work directly with wildlife (Ambo for example has more than double the number of NGO's or field projects than any other National Park on the globe) are based or indirectly linked to Kenya.
Even the news papers and on line papers have a better audience than most other African Nations effected by the drought - I think?
