family are all safe. Hopefully you are far enough away from it that you weren\'t effected.

Jan you made me check the news................it's sad what happend in Italy. The reports are differing it was 5.8 or 6.2 on Richter which both means a huge rumble.

We are lucky as we live in Tuscany which is slightly north of Rome.

I have spoken to friends who have been effected that live between Naples and Rome.
Rome really felt the earthquake; the night before and the second one last night again.

It is very sad and more bad news comes out every hour as more people are found dead. It hit a University also where a lot of students were sleeping as well.

Looking at the scale of the disaster it really could have been a lot worse.
I have put my name up with a friend who works in the Police services here in our local area to call if I can be of any help. An extra pair of hands to clean or set up what ever is need!

For now they just want the experts and professional medics plus groups that know what they are doing. I suppose they cannot have hundreds of people going in and not really know what they are doing.
