Welcome to bushdrums. I loved reading about your experience in the Mara. My guess is that you got no receipt because the government wouldn't be able to trace the amount of money raised nor would the rest of the Council members. In the past, a lot of money was placed into deep pockets and didn't trickle down to the people at all nor were any improvements made to the infrastructure. I hope this changes.

We would love to hear more about your trip. How about posting a trip report? I know everyone would enjoy it. When we are not in Africa, we are all dreaming about being back there, and reading about someone else's trip helps.
