Many thanks to generous sponsors
Coastweek - - Many thanks to our many generous sponsors for their kind support during Expedition 2008.
I hope you all enjoyed participating or at least reading about it.
I can honestly say that we were overwhelmed by the amount of interest and support we received. It was most encouraging.
Over the 13 days we spotted a total of 53 sharks. Total spotted 41 and total tagged a record breaking 17.
We tagged 17 with satellite tags.
This is one of the largest amount of tags to be put on whale sharks at any one time in history. It really is ground breaking and fascinating work that we have started.
It would not have been possible without your kind help. Thank you so much. We will now have to be patient for at least nine months before getting any data back.
I will keep you all posted.
We will be putting out Kenya's first set of accoustic tags soon and I will let you know the details of that expedition.
We are planning for the last two weeks of April at the moment. Please keep an eye on our blog:
