Thanks for all your good wishes. I am hoping that despite what is going on, I will see a lot of healthy, happy, fat animals. I also hope to see many people that I know and find them alive and well. I'm hoping the majority haven't already been laid off. One can't help those that aren't there.

Another part of the KLM saga that is difficult to understand - I just checked in online tonight. Despite the fact I requested an aisle seat from Amsterdam - Nairobi, I've been given a middle seat in the dreaded center section. I can't figure that out at all because from what I've read, these planes are landing in Nairobi almost empty! If they are almost empty, where aren't they fulfilling frequent flyers seating requests? Perhaps when I get to the airport I will be able to switch seating. Will keep my fingers crossed.

I've heard from both Amboseli and Tsavo that generator schedules have changed. Am not sure if it is due to fuel shortage or what. Thus I'm not sure if I'll have computer access. But if I do, I'll try to get one or two messages out while there.

Have a good three weeks! Will join you on my return.
