I know there are so many people who wish to do good by volunteering at guest farms, sanctuaries etc.

It's essential to make sure the venue in question does not engage in any breeding, hunting or other unethical practises!

I know it's not particularly PC to upload a link to another forum.

But "facebooking" based on the traffic offers so many opportunities to engage in campaigning etc.

Bravo Pippa and those at your tinyurl site. It is such an important idea, but one so difficult to implement. We tried to tackle this issue by publishing a Name-and-Shame page on our website www.cannedlion.org
We listed all the resorts which either engaged in hunting or were involved indirectly, such as those who hired lion cubs from breeders for petting purposes. After a couple of years of dealing with indignant resort owners, all threatening litigation, we found that there was so little traffic to the site that it was not worth the effort. So we took it down.
