I caught the last 10 minutes of a wildlife documentary about the effect on wildlife that the unusual high flooding of the Ocavango Delta had.

A lone Hyena was hunting a female Kudu, the Hyena's stamina was slowly tiring the Kudu but the drama was still a long way from the Hyena catching & making the kill.

Until 4 Hunting Dogs joined in the hunt & along with the Hyena the five carnivours caught & killed the luckless pray!
The four dogs & the Hyena than continued to feast on the victim together.

There only became a problem & revert to normal competition between the species when both the remainder of the Painted Dog pack & the Hyena clan appeared.

The narration said that this behavior had never been seen or filmed before.
I know when witnessing a Painted dog kill the pack has retired to avoid confrontation when a Hyena arrives.

That sounds quite strange but makes sense.

As long as they were only 5 predators which together killed the prey they were not so much under stress and feeding frenzy. Of course when the rests of the packs joined the stress lever increases dramatically.

Despite having not watched that docu I can imagine it's extremely rare to be captured.

I also searched youtube without result.

Isn't human behaviour similar - just watch a "sale" start for summer or winter sales.
