I have never read such a heart-breaking description of the current Kenya drought - this from the perspective of a conservationist in the Samburu Reserve, Shivani Bhalla.
Her scouts are digging daily in the middle of a River of Sand that was once the ever-flowing Ewaso Nyiro River, trying to uncover the precious liquid from under the sand. I sent her a few dollars to continue this work.
Hopefully, there will soon be rains in Samburu to help the struggling people and wildlife.
