Thanks guys. I appreciate the "safe journey" messages.
You'll have to laugh though. The manager has been on a week's "off time" in Mombasa but is returning to camp tomorrow to desnake the place for me! He knows what a magnet I am for the mambas and cobras.
I had a horrible nightmare about two weeks ago though. I dreamed I was asleep on my belly in my queen size bed in the tent. As I started to wake I saw a black mamba on the other side of the bed! The walkie-talkie was under the other pillow and I didn't dare move and reach for it so I stayed immobile until the askari came to see why I hadn't shown up at breakfast. I then told him I had a night visitor which he had to get rid of. I awoke from the nightmare in a cold sweat. I really hope that dreams don't portend events of the future!
I'll be thinking of you while enjoying MOST of the wildlife.

Jan - snakes bring good luck and in some parts of the world they are sacrid.
It is a nightmare - like I have flying and taking planes. The more I disclike flying - the more I have to travel for work....
If I were still in Kenya I would help you overcome this situation.
