Qantas says no to passenger wearing Bush T-shirt

Qantas stopped passenger boarding in a flight as he was wearing a T-shirt claiming the United States president George W. Bush as a terrorist. Allen Jasson from Melbourne, Australia threatened of taking legal action against the airline when he heard Qantas saying that his T-shirt was offensive and could cause a security risk in the Melbourne – London flight.

“To tell you the truth, Qantas allowed me to fly with another flight if I don’t wear the T-shirt. But I am not willing to get it off,” Jasson said.

The 55-year-old says it is his democratic right to express a political view. Jasson said that his statement is not an offensive one and he had no intention to affront anyone.

Mr. Jasson is allowed to board another flight the moment he removes the t-shirt as Qantas stated.

Qantas spokesperson said that the airline will not allow any comment other oral or written that offends the airline’s passengers or jeopardises its aircrafts` security. Many in Australia feel that the ban is outrageous and fears for violation of democratic rights are being expressed.

Hmm, Australia has always been very PRO America and Pro UK.

A reason why Australian tourists suffered a terrorist attack in Bali.

Obviously Quantas is not willing to hide their friendship.

autralian politicians but not THE australians !
but imagine you wear a t-shirt saying "abolish death penalty", "stop finning", "stop whaling"! this all is offensive - depending on the point of view! air nambia would reserve its right to refuse someone who wears a t-hirt "stop trophy hunting" or british airways "leave the commonwealth".............
it's just ubsurd!
just don't fly qantas and everything should be fine!
