I was in Monaco once for 2 weeks holiday. We (my ex-girlfriend and I ) went jet-skiing and the owner asked us to stay within sight because if a jet-ski falls on the side and the engine is still running, the air-inlet will suck in water and choke. In that case he would have to come and pick us up.

Off we went enjoying ourselves until in the end exactly this happened to my girlfriend. We looked around and realized that the bay was out of sight. A boat pitched up and asked us if we needed any help and in the end they offered to tow us back. When they asked (in Italian) where we were from, we couldn't explain it and couldn´t see the bay. The guy suggested to take us to the place he assumed the jet-ski were from and indeed it was the right place.

From far we already saw the owner who was jumping up and down on the beach like a bouncing ball with a bright red head but his words were still swallowed by the wind and sound of the boat. The kind man on the boat explained the owners anger with the fact that we had crossed the border to Italy which of course is not exactly legal. (this incident was before the European Union). :-O

High heels in Paris - sounds like a real Madam from Paris; Pippa, Elena (my wife is the same as you) she cannot bear to wear high heels and when we have to have business dinner parties it is always my fault as she prefers to wear safari & country gear!! So do I actually - I mean wear country cloths (I do not really wear high heels..).

Carsten - any owner would be worried to give you a jetski or boat to use if they knew you enough.... ahahaha
For those who do not know; Mr Carsten sent me with a one way ticket to hopital and a neck brace for 18 months on my 17th Birthday. He decided to take me to a beach for the day towards Kilifi and it went slightly wrong....

Or the poor man who got knocked over on a straight road happily walking minding his own business until Carsten came along and decided to send him flying for free.... ahahahaha - Carsten you have always been the best on motorbikes.
However to take the positive from all this - I have managed to learn quite a lot of 1st aid and how to treat open wounds as Mbwana Carsten (and wheeler also registered on bushdrums) were my most common pacients.
I think Jan would have me working in her hopital without a problem.

And after all this - I still actually have fun going with good old Carsten on his bike when he visits me in Tuscany on his bike. Hey - that is what friends are for!!!

Maybe I should extend our forum regulations with the famous sentence: "Anything you say can and will be used against you" :-O

never ever have i seen so many maybach, RR, porsche, ferrari testarosssa - by the way comes that from testosterone ?, bentley and so many plastic faces and breats.......it's really amazing! a let's say 50 year old attractive woman was operated back and forth and in the end she looked like a 70 year old made to look like 60! who the hell has convinced them that it's a must to have some plastic in the face and body?

this monaco is only 2 square kilomateres small .....
no starlet, no billionaire - who i know off - but still loads of money!
coke from the minibar 8€, little bottle of water the same........gosh - this is not a place for me! a couple of days to get an idea of the whole monaco-concept but then leave. i saw it - that's it! must not have that again!

nico: yeas, in the exihibition hall i feel sometimes a bit exotic because mostly the buyers and exhibitors are dressed in black suits and costumes. somehow there exists a dress code which means honesty comes only with black.... but the reps of safari camps also are dressed in khaki

Carsten - lets go and sell beer, water and coke from the back of our cars for half the price..... we shall still make a killing and crash their market!!
Perhaps sell the odd kilo of silicon at a discounted price as well...
