dear fellow bushdrummers

in order to not leave the impression i have been whiped out i just want to let you know that i rather won't join again prior to Xmas because i will be travelling next week and afterwards there is a lot of office work waiting für me.
furthermore there are Xmas preperations which i have to deal with - my female fellows know exactly what i am talking about -.
rough estimation: i will be back around Xmas but might pop in once in a while but not on a regular basis!
so - please do not open a controversial subject during my absense

i wish all of you a great festive season and try not to go nuts with all these jingles etc.

Pippa,
great to see you back online

All the best for your trip, x-mas preparations (even if I have no clue what you are talking about ) and all the other little daily jobs that need looking after.

A great X-mas to you too and thank you for letting us know that you will be away rather than leaving us in the thought that you are not talking to us any longer.

Pippa:

Have a wonderful trip to France.

Unfortunately I know exactly where you are coming from with the upcoming Christmas rush I have been buying gifts to give to my Kenyan friends when I return in January and haven't even started Christmas shopping or gifts for my son's birthday in a week!

Glad to hear you'll be back joining us when you life settles down a bit

Hello Pippa,
I know what you mean. I’ve just registered at the worst possible time. Not only because of Christmas, but I’ve just got a job substituting for a teacher with an “infection” until Christmas. I should have spent this day learning names and planning classes. The “infection” is probably pupil induced – some whom I met last week were really nasty - and if I could continue until summer I’d be able to go to Kenya. This would also be the best time for my business, but I don’t know where to find the time. Somehow I find the time to hang in front of the computer, but it has to stop.
Have a nice trip and a merry Christmas.

dear jan

thanks jan!
i really look forward to seeing all these colleagues and camp owners in cannes. networking is just excellent and establishing new contacts as well!
during daytime i am a well-behaving girl visiting all pre-scheduled appointments BUT in the evenings we are having parties in these hotels at the croisette (which you know from the cannes film festival)

regarding your son's birthday: what apout an adoption certificate from one of these orgs like AWF or SHELDRICK? might that be an idea?

just take it easy! we - my husband and me - have decided ages ago not to buy any presents! first we don't need any additional stuff. second it costs an aweful lot of money to buy it and then space to store it or money to insure it. furthermore we need money for travel and therefore we just skipped all this Xmas-buying-presents-terror in order to "spend it like dust" in africa!!!

keep well until i'm back!
