Is the rumor true that the Carnivore has had to stop selling many of the "wildlife" type meats on their menu?

If so, please let me know and I'll pass the word around to some travelers that I know who love to go there.

How, if at all, do you think this will effect the bushmeat trade? From the little I know of it, natives never ate large amounts of meat until they saw us tourists gulping down all sorts of wildlife and then they developed a liking for it also.

Would love to hear your opinion on it.

Jan - it is true.

They still serve crocodile, camel, ostrich and then normal beef, chicken, pork etc etc the same way.
The new government brought this law out as the local people were hunting game for food and were getting fined and at times prison sentences for hunting of wildlife. The locals then brought out the question of why can restaurants and farms "use" this type of meat for foreigners or the richer locals.
The government responded by not allowing any game to be cooked or sold in restaurants or shops.

Carnivores is still the same and just as good for what you pay but for now - no more Impala, Buffalo etc etc.

Guys, I am trying to create a restaurant guide, but without details from you I cannot continue. Please take another look at the list of restaurants I have posted above. Any description of any place will do. Just give our readers an idea of what the place is like and what to expect.
