Don't worry, not every piece of luggage gets lost... only some


Reminds me of an incident in Kenya. I left Kenya to visit my grandparents in Germany. As a souvenir I bought them a bottle of Kenya Gold (something like Irish Coffee) and Kenya Cane (a rum made of sugar cane). Due to lack of space I had put some things - including those 2 bottles - in a sports bag and checked them in as regular luggage. When I unpacked my bag in Germany, the Kenya Cane was gone and the Kenya Gold was half empty!! Obviously the staff opened the bag, passed the bottle around for everyone to take a good sip and decided to keep the Rum.

Flew out of Lahad Datu .........Took off..........Flew round.......Landed........Oooops!........Forgot the luggage still sat on the airstrip!

Oh Carsten -that's funny in a ha-ha way and funny in a sad way. I had a bottle of Amarula break in customs in LAX the first time I went. Spilled all over the satin wedding shoes I purchased in JoBurg duty free - ended up dying the shoes and crying over my split Amarula.

By the way - note to administrator's - you will be seeing me signing in here about ten times a day for the next eleven (eleven!!) days. I think I know what junkies feel like when their next fix is just around the corner.
