OK true story.....Names have been changed to protect me...Ooops! Sorry!...The innocent!

It was the last day of a trip in Botswana & dried fruit had been nibbled all day.
That evening after the tent was pitched dinner was finished The two clients & Douglas, their guide, were swapping yarns around the camp fire.
They were generally spinning yarns, listening to the bush & keeping the glasses full with Morgans & Coke.
One of the clients could feel the effects of the dried fruit beginning to take effect on his bowels. As he grabbed toilet paper, shovel & matches a hyena \"Laughed\" close by.
At that point it was to late to dig a latrine & he had an accident!! Much to Douglas's amusement.

Douglas now tells the story of the client who heard a hyena, s**t himself & never slept in the bush again!!

Sorry! I tried messed himself but it sort of lost impact!

we had that topic "toilets" somewhere in the forum............long drop, short drop, chemical, flush - you name it - we discussed it
i think i am a bit over-civilised because i need my DECENT toilet - even in the bush....

You really are a brave soul to go out in the dark in the middle of the bush by yourself with hand shovel! It would be my luck to step on a mamba or adder!

I don't know whether it's a female thing or an "more mature adult" thing, but I, like Pippa, sure do like my comfort and safety when nature calls.

I don't want any unexpected suprises other than the ones I've had with a cobra in my bathroom, bats dive bombing me on the throne, and six lions roaring right behind my bathroom wall!
