Thanksgiving Day

Link to this post 23 Nov 06

On this day of Thanksgiving in the US we traditionally give thanks for the many things that make our lives better.

Thus I would like to take the time to thank each and every one of you for caring so much about wildlife and the environment. Without your caring and fighting to make things better, the world would be a much sadder place. Wildlife and the environment needs all the help it can get, and you all are helping to make a difference.

Please continue your caring. Thank you all.

Pippa:

Thanks. You don't understand how wonderful it is to find other people who understand and care about the same things you do. The sharing of info here by all is fantastic!

Thank you all for your caring and sharing information and love of wildlife. We can make a difference. It may be in small increments, but we will succeed!

jan
thanks for your kind words and i try my very best!
i am ruining myself------have skipped today a really big safari destination: south africa!
i cannot help it------------i have to act for the animals sake! but mosz of the time i feel like fighting windmills.........

let's fight ------ every bit and piece is worthwile a try!
and it gives us the feeling of at least having done something and not folding our hands in our laps and watch the animals suffering!

Pippa:

You and I think so much alike. That is exactly why I never want to go to southern Africa. By doing so, it implies that I agree with their wildlife policies, which I think are absolutely dreadful, disgusting and deplorable. I really can't understand how some of those people can sleep after some of the decisions they have made (and it appears they have no guilt about).

Don't feel like you are fighting windmills. Though at times it doesn't feel as though anyone is listening to us out there, every once in awhile you get a letter from someone you wrote thanking you and finally understanding what needs to be done. That can really make your day!

We must continue to care for wildlife and get the word out on their behalf. That is why bushdrums is so enlightening. I haven't found another site yet that will give you news, accomodations, parks/reserves as well as up to date wildlife/environmental news, and most of all, other people who care as much.
